the wright stuff: Second Annual Wright Shenanigan's House Party!

Yesterday we had our 2nd Annual Wright House Party. Last summer we had a house warming party, and we all had so much fun that we decided it needed to be an annual event. Some of our closest friends came over and we grilled out, played some yard games, and of course enjoyed some cocktails. I also made homemade ice cream. This was my first attempt at homemade ice cream so I was a little nervous as to how it was going to turn out. Well, I only had to call my mom a few times for advice, and it ended up turning out perfect! The ice cream was great! Shawn and I actually got a homemade ice cream maker for our wedding and hadn't ever used it. Now that I know what I'm doing, I think it's safe to say we'll be getting plenty of use out of that thing.

Everybody ended up having a lot of fun yesterday. The best part, by far, was when Wiesler bet Butler $100 that him and Dusty could beat Butler and John in washers. Let's keep in mind Wiesler and Dusty had already lost to them at least once but Wiesler was getting pretty confident after having some liquid courage. So... Wiesler put up $100 for him and Dusty, and Butler and John each put up $50, meaning we were witnessing a $200 washer game! We all lined up our chairs to watch the big event. Flavin was the umpire, making sure that everyone was following the rules, etc. It was a pretty intense game I won't lie. With Wiesler and Dusty winning 18-5, and the game being played to 21, Butler and John ended up coming back and winning! Definitely the most intense game of washers I've ever seen lol. Butler and John left the party with more money than they came with ;). You never know what's going to happen at the Wright house!
