Sports weekend: Cardinals, Eagles and Saints

Man, what a weekend! First can I just say... We're World Champions!!!!! How bout those Cards?!?! Being born and raised a St. Louis Cardinals fan needless to say the past few weeks have been fun! Who would have thought the Wild Card pick would win the World Series? Shawn and I are both huge Cards fans so Friday night for Game 7 we went to the Roost with a bunch of friends to watch the game. And what a game it was! Thank God game 6 wasn't game 7 because that just would have been way too stressful. Lucky for us game 7 was definitely enjoyable! We dominated that game! We had a great time celebrating our big win with friends!

Saturday Travis played in Springfield vs. Evangel. This was great because lots of family and friends were able to come watch him. Te CMU Eagles can out with a big win! It was also Trav's 23rd birthday so it was great to be able to see him on his birthday. When he saw me after the game he said, "Whoa, looks like the baby's grown this week!" It's been pretty cool because Travis has gotten to see me every weekend and see my progress throughout my pregnancy. He only has two games left. I can't believe it!

Sunday Shawn and I drove to St. Louis to watch the Rams vs. Saints game. Shawn has a relative who plays for the New Orleans Saints. I mean when else would we get to actually watch an NFL game where we know who one of the players are?? We went with a few of Shawn's other relatives. We had a really great time! Our seats were great! The only downside of the day was that the Rams actually decided to get their first win of the season. But it was still a really cool experience, just a quick trip. We had to come back home right after the game so we could work today.
