On Monday I took Ayla to the doctor for her two week check up. She weighted 8 lbs 12.4 oz. so she is now barely over her birth weight, which is great! We've got a little eater on our hands that's for sure! I'm breast feeding Ayla, and that has been going great. Ayla's height, weight, and head circumference are all in the 75th percentile. The doctor said that she is doing absolutely perfect and everything checked out great!
Shawn comes home everyday on his lunch break to spend time with Ayla and I. That is the part of the day we look forward to the most, but it always goes by so fast!
This past weekend Nancy (MiMi) came into town and stayed with us so she could spend some more time with Ayla. We were so glad to have her here. My friends Casey and A-Tay came down on Saturday from St. Louis for the day to meet Ayla as well as my friends Jason and Cyndi who came up from Arkansas. We had a really great time hanging out at the house. I was so thrilled that they got to spend time with our precious little girl.
Ayla had lots of 'firsts' on Sunday. Her umbilical chord fell off on Saturday, so she got her first bath on Sunday morning. She did great! She didn't even cry once! After her first bath, we went to church with Ayla for the first time! She did great at church. She got to see her Dad play in the band and everything! After church, we went out to eat for lunch. This was Ayla's first time going out to eat in a public restaurant and she did great there too!
Here are some pics from the last week!
